Veteran freelance writer Maureen McDonald writes and blogs for Crain's Detroit Business, Detroit Regional News Hub and a host of online publications. She ghost wrote a history book, “Sirens of Chrome, the Enduring Allure of Auto Show,” for Millennium Books; co-wrote Royal Oak a History Book for Arcadia Publishing and contributed to MyTown Miracles, a celebration of Detroit’s leaders, and contributed to the 100th Anniversary of Henry Ford Health System. She has taught journalism and communications classes at Wayne State University, the University of Michigan – Dearborn and the University of Detroit Mercy. She serves on the board of the Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame. Maureen is an avid bicyclist who completed a 10-day bicycle tour of Ireland’s south coast a few years back. She lives in Southfield and continues to play an active role in Detroit’s betterment.
